  • Stepping Out in A Clinical Way: Meanwhile Who's Covering Home Base

    • Stepping out of the Library to clinical areas is worthwhile, but most of the time that requires rearranging of priorities, programs, services, and staff to still provide excellent service to the users who come to the Library, have other that clinical needs, or access the Library virtually 24/7/365. 

  • Celebrate Me Home

    • After attending multi-day workshops, such as Wood Hole, McMaster Management Institute, NCBI training, etc. how is the newly acquired knowledge applied to daily operations? 

TUESDAY, MAY 17TH 

  • Establishing Best Practice

    • This session centers on the identification and use of data/evidence to support practice in non-clinical fields, such as Librarianship, Oral Health, and Public Health.

MONDAY, MAY 16TH & WEDNESDAY, MAY 18TH 

  • Managing Library Schizophrenia (Parts 1 & 2) 

    • How Libraries manage not only the diverse patron populations, but also diverse staff issues (baby boomers vs. Generation Xers), (Webmasters vs. clinical librarians), etc.

MONDAY, MAY 16TH & TUESDAY, MAY 17TH

  • Research Methodology 101 (Parts 1 & 2) 

Find out how to not only find a research topic, but also the basic steps of the entire project, including getting the paper publishes.

The traditional Connection Reception is scheduled for Tuesday evening, following the annual business meeting, which begins at 6:00 p.m. The Reception is a great way to connect with friends and colleagues you haven't seen since the last Reception. This year's theme will be Tex-Mex (what else?). So come join your colleagues in celebrating the survival of another year of downsizing, rightsizing, shrinking budgets, and obstacles overcome. Clinking of margarita glasses will be strongly encouraged! We look forward to seeing you.
